A while back I was organizing an activity for my school to play a flag football tournament and to get everybody pumped up I used some of my left over budget to buy some tickets to the Stanford vs Oregon game. I can't say I'm a huge fan of either team but we were cheering the Cardinal because they were the underdog and I like watching Oregon lose. We got so into it that we ended up rushing the field because like they say...When in Rome...

Halloween Time
This was the last FHE that we had with the Rasmussens in their home with the other young married couples. As you can see I was focused solely on collecting every single seed for baking purposes. Molly, like always, was on top of the design and it turned out great.Down Hill from Here

Three years running
Last year we kept on with the tradition of going to Half Moon Bay in October near Halloween. Last year we learned not to go on the day of the Halloween Pumpkin festival. So this year we thought we would be safe going on the 17th. We were wrong, although we had less traffic this year, we still drove 6 miles in 40 minutes. We made the rookie mistake of just following the GPS turn by turn and forgot to double check the way it was taking us. Oh well! We went last weekend so we could meet up with Anne and Mike and the Packer family, but because of the traffic we didn't get to stay long enough to see them. We parked, walked into the town and stopped at an atm where Kc turned to me and said we have to leave and get to my baseball game. Me being bummed made Kc promise I could get a pumpkin on the way out, and pumpkins I got. Kc almost drove by the pumpkin patch, but as he was driving by I shouted for him to stop. I proceeded to cross a busy highway and grab the first two pumpkins I saw. As Michael Scott would say, "snap judgements." As I paid for them I made the cashier/patch owner take a picture to have proof of our tradition and then ran back across the street to Kc and our car which was still running. It may have been an in and out trip, but we got most of what we like going down there for- pumpkins and a drive through Pacifica. Having a sports fanatic husband I get to go to Kc's softball, baseball, basketball and flag football games which makes me think that I am perfectly qualified for this craigslist job I found today!

8 Years Later
What can I say?...After a shaky first inning it was like riding a bike. I love baseball and I'm glad I get to play again. Just for the record, I struck out Chile Davis' kid.

Oh Cupcake
So I was catching up with some of my emails today and found a website I had never been to, FredFlare.com. They had some interesting accessories that I would never have thought I needed. People really have gone nuts over frozen yogurt and cupcake shops. But now they are converting that craze to wearable items. I personally like the cupcake beanie though. They need a strawberry shortcake version. I think Kc would intentionally get hurt to wear those delicious bacon band-aids.

Seattle times
This last week we flew up to Seattle to hangout with Kc's family and show my sister Josie and her husband Eric around. Josie and Eric had never been and wanted Kc to be their tour guide. I am not sure what they thought of our tour guide skills, but we had a lot of fun. Some of the highlights were:
-Hanging out with Kc's family before his younger brother Mark left for the Army.
-A mandatory Mariners game where during their series with the Yankees they won 2 of the 3 games and we managed to go on the night they lost. Still fun though. Other than watching the game we saw a dance off between Superman and Batman that was pretty hilarious, I think it lasted 5 minutes. (Which is a long time for solo spotlight)

-Eating at Ivar's, shopping at Pike Place, going to the top of the space needle, and visiting Ye Old Curiosity Shop

First Starbucks ever. Not like the Mecca for me, but for some of my co-workers- they would worship this place.
