Three years running

Last year we kept on with the tradition of going to Half Moon Bay in October near Halloween. Last year we learned not to go on the day of the Halloween Pumpkin festival. So this year we thought we would be safe going on the 17th. We were wrong, although we had less traffic this year, we still drove 6 miles in 40 minutes. We made the rookie mistake of just following the GPS turn by turn and forgot to double check the way it was taking us. Oh well! We went last weekend so we could meet up with Anne and Mike and the Packer family, but because of the traffic we didn't get to stay long enough to see them. We parked, walked into the town and stopped at an atm where Kc turned to me and said we have to leave and get to my baseball game. Me being bummed made Kc promise I could get a pumpkin on the way out, and pumpkins I got. Kc almost drove by the pumpkin patch, but as he was driving by I shouted for him to stop. I proceeded to cross a busy highway and grab the first two pumpkins I saw. As Michael Scott would say, "snap judgements." As I paid for them I made the cashier/patch owner take a picture to have proof of our tradition and then ran back across the street to Kc and our car which was still running. It may have been an in and out trip, but we got most of what we like going down there for- pumpkins and a drive through Pacifica. Having a sports fanatic husband I get to go to Kc's softball, baseball, basketball and flag football games which makes me think that I am perfectly qualified for this craigslist job I found today!

ahh - don't you love celebrating each season? love the pumpkin photos - good for you for capturing that crazy moment. I am so excited for Halloween and hope to make it to one of the dozens of pumpkin patches around here. I am also happy that we are NOT going to a haunted house, but instead I get to decorate my trunk :)

I love Halloween and pumpkin patches and full moons! Just not on 2nd base. But then again...I haven't admired a full moon on 2nd base. Who knows? It might become one of my new fall traditions! I remind my son that there are other things besides sports - Molly gets equal time with more cultured activities!
