Fifth Anniversary

It has been five awesome years and boy have we done a lot. I stayed up one night to design a book, and I ended up pulling an all nighter to make a thorough 5 year recap. I first sectioned off all of my photos into years pre-wedding, wedding, 2006-2011. I am so lucky to have married my best friend and am excited to continue to grow together. We have hit a fun and sometimes tricky transition phase where KC is working hard and I entertain Hank and wait for the few hours a day I get to see good ole Kenny. Happy five years "Case" I love you and am so thankful for all your hard work for our fam.

KC planned a sweet dinner for our anniversary and our good friend Whitney came over to babysit. When we got home Hank seemed like he wanted us to leave again, cause he loved Whitney that much. KC picked Slanted Door, a restaurant I have been wanting to try for a while and when we got there they did not disappoint. I loved how they used all Heath Ceramic dishware and had beautiful reclaimed wood tables and interesting art. Nice choice KC lets do it again.

Some picture highlights of the book, entitled "5 Years, Not Even a Drop in the Bucket"
Looking at the picture I kept thinking, the couple that plays together...stays together.
The couple that works out together...stays together. Teaches seminary together, etc, etc.

Pacific Grove

Hank and I met up with Josie, Eric and the boys right after Anne and Lucy drove up from my parents house last week. Anne was coming up to visit for our good friends wedding and to see Mike's family before leaving to Singapore. We had a fun time hanging out with cousins and having a bonfire on the beach. Carmel has an intresting smell to their beach, but it was so fun and easy to set-up a sand bonfire, no pit needed. We also dropped the boys off at their new schools, walked through a few thrift stores and shopped at the Farmers Market before driving home. Thanks Josie and Eric for letting us come.

Nine Months

Hank is now nine months and to celebrate we went to a doctors appointment and found out all of his stats. He is looking good and 98% for height. He weighs 21 lbs and my right bicep shows it. I wore a three quarters length shirt and it fit on the left side but was tight on the right. Guess I better stop favoring one side. Eric, my brother in law came to stay the weekend since Josie and the kids went to Santa Margarita for a few weeks. Both Eric and Kc had dentistry/chiropractic seminars on Friday.  Hank and I had a Blood Drive to help run at our ward building. People from all over the area came and donated and Hank helped serve them crackers, sugar and water bottles. We also went out to Zachary's Pizza to have Eric compare the deep dish to real authentic Chicago pizza. Hank loves his uncle Eric who I couldn't believe offered to babysit on Saturday night while Kc and I went to see Cowboys and Aliens. Kc loves all Alien movies- me not so much, but this one had Harrison Ford, and Daniel Craig in it. Thanks Eric. If only I took more pictures of the weekend, but here are some of Hank from last week.

Hank is standing up and kneeling a lot. He likes to growl and eat paper still. He imitates me a little bit like this morning I was doing yoga and he did the upward dog pose next to me. I can tell that he is getting better at remembering things too. He has always had to hold a toy while I changing his diaper and put on his clothes. Before I would have to take the toy out of his right hand and let him hold onto it with the left. But now as soon as I put his head through a shirt he sticks out his arm and then moves the toy on his own for me to put his other arm in. This is huge progress!
