Craigslist rug search
So in San Leandro, we have all wood/vinyl except for one room where we have less than attractive brown shag carpet that my Zerorez father would say emmmhh about. We need to cover some of the hard surface though, cuz it gets cold...especially with the storms recently. How about these alpaca rugs? Kc (and I) loves alpacas from our visit to Chile and the San Juan, WA islands. Anyone connected to Peru in their hearts?

Christmas Break Highlights
Alameda to San Leandro
Kc and I have been voted off the island of Alameda and have moved closer to Kc's school. We now live on a street that looks like the community on LOST. We moved out right before Christmas and came back from break to a bunch of boxes. I also came back with a case of pneumonia so our apartment is not quite set up yet. We were sad to leave Alameda, excited for a new place-but we are only 15 minutes away, so come visit anytime!

Christmas Playlist

I am trying to put together a Christmas playlist and there are too many good ones. Classic ones from Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, Amy Grant, Anne Murray, James Taylor, Mannheim Steamroller, Charlie Brown Christmas soundtrack, the 1994 Mariah Carey album (Nick Cannon at that time hadn't even starred on Nickelodeon yet), Jimmy Eat World, O.C. Christmas v.3, Sufjan Stevens, Elf Soundtrack, National Lampoon's Christmas songs, and the list goes on. Sufjan Stevens has some of the best song titles, for example Did I Make You Cry on Christmas Day, Well You Deserved It! and Get Behind Me, Santa!
Classic clip that Kc has been imitating all week long

Big ole' Thanksgiving
another game my coordinated cheerleader cousins came up with, I was not a cheerleader for good reasonKc and I just got back from a really fun reunion with my dad's side of the family for Thanksgiving. I have always been really close with my cousins and now that we are older and have added so many people to the group it is hard to get together. But with a lot of energy from my grandpa and aunts and uncles we did it. We had over 45 people assembled together in Las Vegas and all but 3 were from out of town. We chose Las Vegas so that our Mission President uncle Peter could attend. We had Thanksgiving dinner, played football, tennis, "olympics", went black friday shopping and hungout in a casino to watch the BYU/UTAH game. Good times.

60th Anniversary!!
Molly and I have made it a tradition each year, back from when we even first started dating, to watching the highly anticipated Warren Miller films that are "the official start to winter". This one, Dynasty, was Warrens 60th and was just like the others: It was GREAT, had lots of powder in it, showed highlights from all over the globe, it had its comedic flare and made me want to set aside some money for a heli trip to the Chugach mountain range in Alaska...soon enough...anyone want to come with me? What it didn't have: Warren as the narrator...he was way better than Mr. Mosely. An awesome segment about the skiing/snowboarding in Utah (which they usually do)...maybe next year.
Stanford's Big Upset
A while back I was organizing an activity for my school to play a flag football tournament and to get everybody pumped up I used some of my left over budget to buy some tickets to the Stanford vs Oregon game. I can't say I'm a huge fan of either team but we were cheering the Cardinal because they were the underdog and I like watching Oregon lose. We got so into it that we ended up rushing the field because like they say...When in Rome...
