Wedding Interview
In April of 2006 Martha and Meka interviewed Kc for a wedding shower. I downloaded some of the clips when Martha came to visit last week. Here was a funny one that I thought I should share for Meka. She blew the news to my Dad a little before Kc had planned to ask my Dad if he could marry me- so she was asking Kc to state the details in the interview. Kc looks a little nervous in these clips. Egg-tastic
94080 & Tunnel Time
On Saturday we went to check out all that South San Francisco had to offer. Well not all of it I guess but some of it. We went and met up with our friend Joel G. Monson who lives out there. He lives a minute from the So. San Francisco Bart and in the backyard of Costco, which is a crazy thing to watch. Costco seems like it is still a phenomena in San Francisco. Millions of cars pour through the gas station and parking lot every hour of the day. After watching Costco for a while we went and checked out a little mini-golf, ate some In-n-Out, stopped by the See's Headquarters, Joel gave us a drive by tour of SFSU, and the beautiful church building.
It was all really fun. One stand-out experience while playing mini-golf was the out of control people behind us, a white guy and an asian lady, about early 30's with her son who was probably 10. So I am pretty sure they had forgotten all mini-golf customary traditions. We were putting on one of those holes where it shoots through the barn and comes out on the lower putting green turf. Well, we started and were now on the lower turf when all of a sudden two more golf balls come rolling out of the pipes. Then they came down and started hitting there balls around until they got the point that we were waiting for them to leave. When the lady goes and picks up my ball and walks away. After this happened at a few more holes we let them go ahead. Weird.
On the Bart ride there and back we also ran into some drunk Irish people attending the St. Patty's parade downtown. As well as a guy that seemed to be living on the Bart who whenever the train went underground would yell Tunnel Time!

workin for the weekend
I love living in or near a big city. Whether it has been LA, NYC, Seattle or San Fran, I just like knowing it is close and that there are exciting things going on if you have time and money to go enjoy them. But this weekend Kc and I enjoyed the big city of Oakland. We thought we deserved to go out since we have been indoors for two weeks recovering from sicknesses. Also I finished my first 7 days at my new work. Friday we checked out the 66th Street Fair, cause randomnly it showed up on the side of the 880 one day. We had to check out the Super Slide, and a few money pit games.

Then Saturday we met up with Joel Monson, a friend of ours who grew up with Kc in Sammamish, WA. We drove over to the Lake Chabot (sha-bo) Golf course. I went along to just walk the course and it was pretty fun. I have never been to a golf course where you drive through the fairway in your car to get to the pro shop. Yeah before you tee up you check where you are aiming, your grip, and if a car is passing. Then the 18th hole is a 680 yard par 6 that drops down a hill. It was pretty crazy with sweet views of Oakland.

Death and Taxes? Or is it Pneumonia and DMV?
Oh what a day yesterday. I had to go spend the day at the DMV to change my name, address and renew my drivers license. I have had a terrible picture for 9 years since I first got my license, so I actually did my hair and showed up to take a new picture. I sped to make it to the DMV on time, kind of ironic. But when I got there all of the computers were down. So I waited an hour or two before they rebooted and then got in line again. Can I just say that the customer service at these types of places is horrendous? After all the paperwork I finally was in the line to take a picture. The lady says step-up, sign your name, give a thumb print, get behind the line- then became perfectly silent. I stood there and smiled for 6 seconds then stepped forward and asked are you going to take it? Right when I stepped forward and blinked of course she took the picture and the flash went off. I was like what can I retake that? And she said no its fine. 3-4 weeks and you will have your new license. I WAS SO FRUSTRATED! I wanted to strangle the lady. But she was a rough black woman from Oakland and I figured she didn't care a bit if I liked my picture. Especially with a huge line behind me.
Next stop take Kc to the Medical Center. He has been sick for 5 weeks. It started as a cough, then developed into a cold, then into flu symptoms. So finally after 4 painful days of not being able to function or concentrate in school we had to see a doctor. 30 minutes later we were told to take x-rays of his lungs and kidneys for further results, but that he definitely had pneumonia. So special. Poor Kc. And now I am sick too.

GhostBUSTERS.

Hooray finally we spent our money wisely at the movie theatre! Over Presidents weekend my family and I went to see the movie Jumper, and I felt extremely dissatisfied. We went home and had to watch the ending of We are Marshall which my parents started just to cheer-up. Walking out I honestly felt like I had wasted a few hours of my life. Sorry to all of those that liked Jumper a lot, it just wasn't for me. Even though Hayden Christensen shares my name, we are not buddies after this movie. But tonight Kc and I went to see Be Kind Rewind. I give it a 10! Usually I do not laugh out-loud in movies- but gosh darnit Jack Black, you made me this time. Kc and I thought it was really creative and who knows maybe a post in the future will have Kc and I acting out some movie like, So I Married an Axe Murder. (mostly because it was filmed in SF)
