Pixar merry-go-round

When Kc and I went to California Adventureland we saw the sweetest merry-go-round of Pixar characters. It was made in Emeryville, CA right where Anne works. It amazing!! Each character when it is stopped is in ten different motions and when it starts moving combined with the strobe light it looks like an animation.

Kc's got a new attitude

I have finally given Kc a new haircut since this long haired look from Christmas. It's short and professional to become Dr. Oliver. Kc has now started school and is about three weeks in. He is attending Life West Chiropractic College and in his 1st quarter he is taking: Cell Physiology, Systemic Hystology with a lab, Spinal and Skeletal anatomy with labs, Palpation, and Chiropractic philosophy. Midterms will be a fun time these next couple weeks...This is what he is thinking about wearing to school.

Actually these vintage numbers were donated to Kc from his Grandpa and all we did was lengthen the sleeves. Only 3 years, 6 months, 32 days, 14 hours, 11 minutes, and 15 seconds until he graduates! NO Just Kidding I have no idea. That countdown was for Josie.

Fun times in Alameda

Some funny stuff happens when you are living on the banks of Oakland. The other day Kc and I went to the gym and I have never seen Kc as fearless to walk into the "Magic Johnson" (our 24 hour fitness is the Magic Johnson gym) basketball court and stand on the sidelines and wait to get into the full court scrimmage going on. He stepped up to the line where they were all picking partners and was the only white guy. I was kind of thinking they would ignore him on the court but after 20 minutes they warmed up to the BYU t-shirt wearing white boy.
Another day I was on the elliptical machine next to Monica Packer talking about our personal stories and stuff-getting to know each other more, but the best part was this crazy lady on the machine next to Monica. About 45 minutes in I notice this lady is leaning to the left and working out on like level 2. She was seriously listening to our entire conversation and not very sly either. She had a book in front of her that she had turned over- had no music and was not into her workout at all. She wasn't even looking at the TV monitors. I knew she was into our conversation when I told Monica about how Brad used to ride my razor scooter into curbs and pull a front flip over hedges and she started giggling to herself. Very classic. Reminds me a little of sharing my books on the subway with bums sitting next to me.

Third stop Corona del Mar, CA and more...

Number 3 to help caravan all 11 members of our family around all Christmas. While we were down in Corona del Mar we did a lot of fun stuff. We went to malls to ride trains, see huge trees, and last minute shop. We drove to Las Vegas to go to the bowl game and watch the Cougars beat the Bruins. We went to Brad and Monica Packer's wedding down in San Diego, and also enjoyed a little Disneyland stop.

My Dad's work Zerorez Carpet Cleaning advertises with KFI in Orange County and they gave us free tickets to Disneyland California Adventure. It was our first time and we really enjoyed the Hollywood Tower it makes your stomach fly up to your chest.

A little taste of San Fran in Disneyland
Martha and Jeff almost got soaked by a huge shot of water on the water ride.
After Kc and I went on the ride we watched people get soaked- almost
better than being on the ride.
All in all Christmas break '07 was amazing. Kc and I knew that it would probably be the longest break we would ever get again so we tried to do as much as we could.
Hope you all had a great Holiday too! Happy New Year.

Second stop Cambria, CA

Number 2 so that we could stop at Kc's grandparents house in Cambria. They were so sweet, they fed us and would not let us help with dishes. While we were there Kc and I went to the famous Hearst Castle tour during a huge rainstorm. The tour was great because the whole castle was decorated with Christmas trees, and wreaths.

First stop Monterey, CA

Kc and I decided to drive down to my parents house for Christmas instead of flying for multiple reasons.

Number 1 to stop down in Monterey to hangout with my sister Anne and Josie and her husband Eric and their kids. We checked out some real estate and the dental office Eric might work at this coming year. We also stopped by the Monterey Bay Aquarium. It was amazing. We took my nephew Ethan and he was obsessed with the waterfall over the window in the back.

The Bay Area does Christmas right

This week before we head down to my parent's house we are trying to check-out the Christmas sights in the Bay Area. One night we went with Anne & Mike to the Morgan Stanley Skating Christmas party. Every year they have a night of ice skating at the rink across from the Ferry Building. It was a lot of fun...thanks for working hard Mike. Although we did almost sufficate on the BART ride home.

Kc and I drove down Thompson Lane in Alameda it was decorated with so many lights and extra large Christmas figures. It was amazing.
