Alameda has street cred

Today I was reading the magazine San Francisco and ran across a department called, Street Detail which had listed all the great features of Alameda. I was not surprised one bit. The writer Peggy Nauts, which by the way is a sweet name, said "Alameda may finally be achieving that perfect, elusive mix of hip and historic." Some of the places she listed we have tried or walked into, but there are more I have never even heard of. I thought it was funny how there was an image of Matt Wong, (the owner of the retail store District). He has a softball team named District, (obsessed much?) who are in Kc's league. Kc's team just played them 3 weeks ago and competed significantly better than their first attempt which resulted in a slaughter. Kc's softball team, Boom Goes the Dynamite is playing tonight - maybe I will bring the camera and report if, I mean when they get a W. Click on the images for high res. scanned art.
