Three May Day Finds

1. "Love A Good VW Bus" Unlike a lot of people I know, I do not read as often as I should. Someday I think I will get into reading more. But, the other day I found a book that I would be interested in. Of course it has more pictures and design than words, but its a book–so I am feeling good. Check it out. They ride from Oregon to Mexico in this bus, lucky them.

2. "Atta Desk" I found this table online, what is it with furniture online always being $1400 or more? I think I could make this (a dummed down version that is) if I drew it out and went to Home Depot. This could be the perfect laptop desk.

3. "Outdoors In" very cool house, this reminds me of imagery I would scan to put in my magazine designs in Graphic Design school.

A Bit Busy

I haven't blogged in a while mostly due to this routine:
Seminary, Work, AC Transit, P90X, Eat, Watch NBA and ESPN with KC, Sleep.
Other than that some highlights have been going on an awesome hike at Stinson Beach with the Bakers and Adams, having a ward Spaghetti dinner with dessert auction, and thinking I am glad I don't have to study as much as KC. I am excited for tomorrow, my family comes to town for our niece Lucy's blessing. Have a good weekend.

Let it be known

I kind of got chewed out by my mom last week for not taking Molly out on more "cultured" dates. I offered to go to Wicked and she said no...I'm just saying...I tried

Kc's happy birthday

Baseball season has officially started and Kc and I enjoyed watching the Mariners beat the A's on Friday night. Opening night brought a ceremony for the Oakland PD officers, fireworks, and a flyby. As Kc and I walked from the bart station to the stadium I ran right into a man selling the A's program/magazine that I used to design at Diablo Magazine.(Grrr) A little bit of a stab in the heart to remind me that I miss working on that project. Kc is nuts about baseball he is at another game right now vs. Boston with a school friend and even made a comment about baseball in his talk on Sunday. What am I going to do with him?

Goodbye 24 & 25

Kc and I have officially said goodbye to 24 Hour Fitness here in the Bay Area. We don't really have anything against 24 Hr. except for the fact that they don't allow you to negotiate your monthly dues until the call where you say "I would like to cancel my membership." And the fact that the gym continues to allow thousands of Oakland/Alameda residents to join and makes the gym more packed than Disneyland. But none the less I still liked to go to the classes.
Not only did we leave 24 but also 25! Kc's birthday was yesterday (but will be celebrated all weekend) so we are both officially 26. I like having our birthdays close together. We usually celebrate jointly, but this year we bought each other one big gift. We decided to buy and start the work-out dvds, P90X. What a great gift for each other, haha. Here you need to work out- you can look better for my birthday present! So after buying these dvds we decided 24 was not necessary anymore. We are on day 6 out of 90 and it is pretty good. I like actually having a workout buddy, and I was never able to get Kc to come to the gym and do a yoga class, but now that it is part of our P90X program he cannot get out of it. Happy Birthday Kc, you are the best husband and workout buddy ever, even if you tell me to do more pull-ups and I give you attitude.

Yep...

Just thought you would all like to know that in the top of the 5th inning Griffey hit a long solo homer deep to right field as the M's won their opener in Minnesota 6-1. That's 8 career opening day home runs for the Kid.

Spring Break '09

This last week Kc and I took a break and headed down to my parents house. We celebrated Martha and my birthday with the whole family (except Anne, Mike and Lucy) and tried to soak up some sun-my favorite. Here I have attached way too many pictures, but I could not decide which ones to take out. We had such a great time it was hard to leave and come back to school and work. Some of the highlights were Disneyland, Dinner at Duke's, Knotts Berry Farm, Kc mountain biking with Eric, fetching millions of mini bballs out of the freezing pool so the kids could shoot on the pool bball hoop, cdm beach, hanging out with Martha on our birthday, manicures, and much more! Thanks family for everything. p.s. Josie and Mom my kitchen looks like a little greenhouse! I love it.

Ethan had the largest cheering section

If you go to Disneyland and see the cool tall grass area that looks like it could be a new ride, called the Pixie Forest don't go- unless you are a 5 to 10 year old girl. Kc and I could not tell what was at the end of the long line- but thought it must be cool. We ended up waiting for over a half hour and all it was was a photo op with Tinkerbell and one of her fellow fairies. Kc learned guys are pixies not fairies though. So that was cool. Tinkerbell made me pose with my hands on my hips with attitude, it was all I could do to get out of there.

Teacups part I- I love the colors on that ride.

I loved going to Disneyland for free on my birthday. I wore a large pin that said Happy Birthday Molly. I saw hundreds of people with my same birthday, and all day people stop and tell you Happy Birthday- most of them are paid to though. Everyone should take advantage of the 2009 marketing scheme of free admission on your Birthday. Bibbiddy Bobbiddy Boo!
